I've got an VCSA 6.7u1 11726888. Installed in January 2019. I joined directly to a Windows Domain and added the Identity.
Everything works fine up to now.
If I want to login with AD Credentials I get the error: Invalid Credentials.
Login with vsphere.local User works fine.
Leave the Domain and Join again did not solve the problem.
In the Firewall is nothing blocked to the Domain.
dig SRV _ldap._tcp.my.domain locks also very good
Does anyone have an idea?

Hey, sorry to revive an old thread but I'm trying to do this exact thing and I'm having problems getting this to work using ESXi 6.7 (VM version 14) with a vm hosted on vSphere.
I've edited the vmx file as listed above to add a usb drive:

When the machine hit windows I was unable to see the drives. Is there anything else needed to make this work?
I am curious if anyone has been able to successfully profile Oracle SQL Developer. I have been trying for the longest, however, with no success. Whenever a user creates a connection to a server and save it. That connections or settings are no longer present when they log off and back into their VDI session. Please any help is appreciated.
A lot has been said about problems with using snapshots with Domain Controllers and most of what has been said simply translates to
"DO NOT DO IT!"
However, based on how things work and why the problems happen I am not sure that this statement applies to all cases.
USN rollback is caused when you revert a single DC back and the USN number of the local copy is lets say 10 but on its replica partner has the reverted DCs USN of 20. Some people ask the question "well how is it that when i restore a DC from a backup i bring it to same state reverting USN and this is not an issue" for one the database invocation ID is changed on restore and the system marks the server and database as restored and thus knows how to proceed with proper replication. This is obviously not the case with snapshot revert.
Now for questions I have to confirm my theory:
CASE 1
so what happens when you have a single DC environment or SBS system? I would this that in the single DC system the snapshots should be perfectly ok for Domain Controller as it has no replication partner....Can anyone at VMware confirm this??
CASE 2
Also what if you have 2 DC's and you want to use snapshot prior to an upgrade and do the following:
1. shutdown replication between servers using "repadmin /options +DISABLE_OUTBOUND_REPL"
2. Take a snapshot of both servers and enable replication back.
and then if something goes wrong you should be able to safely revert backup IF and ONLY IF you revert BOTH DC's back to the same state and enable replication back as it was disabled during snapshot.
Above 2 cases i would think should be ok and would not cause any USN rollback issues or cause any problems on the domain. Can anyone confirm this as i have not had the chance to test it and even if i do you never really know 100% if any damage occurs in database level even if all checks come back good.

I'm running VMware Fusion Professional Version 11.5.3 in a MacBook Pro running macOS Catalina Version 10.15.4 ( both are the most updated versions currently)
What happens is that after deleting an older Virtual Machine, some space got released, becoming the famous "purgeable" data, to be more specific, 231,44GB. This kind of space is normally released whenever another piece of software need some extra space, however I'm trying to expand a Virtual Disk from 69Gb to 80 Gb (which I should be capable to do due to the capacity of my disk), unfortunately it's not working.
One option would be to use 3rd Part software to get rid of the "purgeable" data, and then allocate the extra space, however I don't think it should be necessary, as the management system is capable to release the required space.
Any idea on how to correctly fix it ?
Does VeloCloud Orchestrator support webhook for Alert and Event monitoring? Is there any API to call the webhook settings?

Montei uma VM rodando Windows Millenium Edition (Windows Me) perfeitamente, sem nenhum bug, nenhum hardware não identificado. Enfim, uma VM rodando suave.
No entanto, o WindowsMe não consegue acessar a internet. Já mudei para Bridge, para NAT, revisei os protocolos e revisei os outros posts sobre este tema em outros grupos de discussão.
Infelizmente, todos os procedimentos descritos não surtiram efeito.
Alguém pode me ajudar a fazer o WindowsMe enxergar a Internet?

Anybody know if the Edge device 540 is capable of doing SIP ALG (application layer gateway) for voip (Sip registration) ? We are trying to register a cisco voice gateway behind Edge device 540 but the all fail after 10 seconds. It looks like SDP is still sending private IP. Anybody has any clue?

Is there a specific configuration needed for Webcams to work with VMWare Blast VDI environment?
I have an older VMware Fusion image of OS X 10.7 that I ported over. When I boot it, it insists on pairing with a bluetooth keyboard and I'm unable to use it -- even the mouse doesn't work.
I looked through the device configs, profile, etc, and I don't see an obvious way to fix this. Does anyone know how?

HPE Customized Image ESXi 6.5.0 Update 2 version 650.U2.10.3.5. Recently updated from a non customized image 6.5.0 Update 2. I can get the previous build number if needed.
Been having a problem with one of the guests. Guest is Server 2016 fully patched. Its having issues with tools timing out in the event log. I can also see it go from running to no running in the esxi interface. The error messages are:
Event ID 7011
A timeout (30000 milliseconds) was reached while waiting for a transaction response from the VMTools service.
Event ID 7046
The following service has repeatedly stopped responding to service control requests: VMware Tools
Contact the service vendor or the system administrator about whether to disable this service until the problem is identified.
You may have to restart the computer in safe mode before you can disable the service.
Steps taken. I updated the ESXI OS to the HPE image specified above. I updated VMWare tools from 10.2.1.4164 to 10.3.2-9925305 and then ultimately the latest 10.3.5-10430147 with no difference. The error first showed up 10/2/18. The Guest is a Veeam Backup Server that seems to run ok despite the error. The ESXI host has three AWS gateway appliances running on it with out any issues.
Any ideas? Suggestions? Thanks in advance
Hello all. In a lab environment I am trying to create two virtualized esxi servers and a windows server OS all sitting on the same esxi host. The vswitch connecting them is default settings with no uplink, no vlan, no mtu changes. on the virtualized esxi hosts i have setup a vmkernal port on the uplink offered by the vswitch. All devices have an IP in 192.168.120.0/24 subnet. Why can't I ping between them in any direction.
This is my physical esxi host esxi02 is 192.168.120.11, 03 is .12, and iSCSI is .13

The plan is to setup iSCSI from windows server as an educational practice, but I can't even get this far.
I am converting a .vmx for to a .ova file using the ovftool. I have used the ovftool to do this operation in the past, and would occasionally see the error:
Error: 32
Completed with errors
Whenever this error occurs, the conversion operation fails, and the resultant .ova file is created as an empty file. (Size=0)
I am now seeing this error more consistently and need to determine why it is occurring.
I am using version 4.3.0 build 12320924.
Any ideas or suggestions on how to avoid this error, or what it means would be very helpful.

When creating an Ubuntu 16.04 vm from an ISO file, on saving the vm after clicking the button "Customize Settings" in the setup dialog, I get the error message
Easy Install preparation failed.
Could not create the ISO used to store Easy Install settings. If this error persists, you may need to reinstall VMware Fusion.

I just installed a UAG 3.9 and am running Horizon Connection Server 7.12. All my Horizon Settings are green in the UAG to include PCOIP, Tunnel, Blast, UDP Tunnel Server, and most importantly Horizon Destination Server. It appears I'm all green with connectivity to my CS. When I register my UAG in the Horizon CS Admin console under Servers->Gateways, it remains unknown. The Version and IP Address are listed as N/A and it is unknown on the Dashboard. It is listed as External in the Gateway section of the Horizon CS Admin console. My UAG Name in the System Configuration Advanced Settings matches the name registered in the Horizon CS. They are both the FQDN of the UAG Appliance. Why won't it register as a Gateway with the Connection Server?

So I have an issue that is spanning different things.
Working with vCenter 6.5 with ESXi 6.5 hosts.
I have a WIndows 2008 Server VM that is around 2.8 TB, however the data stores setup are only allocated 1.9 TB of space. It has 5 disks, 4 of them on one data store and another disk on
another data store. There are a total of 25 to 30 data stores that vCenter can see. Each data store has around 1.9 TB of space allocated.
Before I arrived, folks were creating nested snapshots and not deleting them. I've cleaned up all of the snapshots, however its having issues and I need to consolidate disks. I am not able to consolidate the disks.
I've tried to migrate VMs from one data store to another, and I'm not able to. I thought this was an option, but its not working.
There is a data store with no VMs or data on it. Am I able to delete the data store, not cause any issues with deleting it and then re allocate the space to the data store where the Windows 2008 VM lives, so I can consolidate the disks?
Will there be an issue with having datastores over 1.9 TB? I'm still not sure what the end storage is. I can't tell if it is SAN or the servers where the ESXi hosts live.
I have 2 data stores. one on each hard drive with same capacity 20Gig
Data store 1 is using max capacity but data store 2 when created takes a good chunk and free space is only 12 Gig.
I this this may be due to the "partitions" legacy stuff it creates, but why?

How can i get second data store to be same size as datastore 1? The only difference i see is when i create datastore 1 i don't get the above "partitions" so that's probably eating up most of the free space..
There are three ESXI hosts in the cluster and HA is enabled.
When the uplink state of vswitch2 on the ESXI_A host is down,
vswitch2 runs the service VLAN network associated with the VM.
vswitch1 uplink is normal (management, vmotion, storage communication is here)
Is it possible to trigger a VM in the ESXI_A host to automatically vmotion to the other two ESXI hosts?

does anyone know if possible to find and OVA from rabittMQ or a docker container image of this? or just if there is a procedure to of units/bootstrap scripts in order to create one? in this I would ask like this there is an existing effort of Rabbit MQ ova, or docker image or a systemd container that you know that can be used for a cell of VCD?
