MS Visio Pro 2013 AppStack

Hello,

 

I have been trying to create an appstack for Visio Pro 2013 for the last couple of days.

 

The following has been attempted:

1. Creating a provisioning machine with the Parent Image;

2. Removing all agents from the Parent Image;

3. Setting the KMS server during provisioning by running cscript ospp.vbs /sethst and cscript ospp.vbs /act.

4. I have also attempted to launch Visio during provisioning;

 

I still need to go through the Wizard after logging off and on a instant clone desktop.

 

Please let me know if I'm missing something.

esxi cpu - Intel(R) Xeon(R) Platinum 8180 CPU @ 2.5GHz

 

Do I need to set EVC mode for vmotion between the two servers?

Hola, instale en un vmware workstation un ESXi 5 , al cual le configure una IP. Luego entro por un VMware vSphere Client 5 a esa IP, hasta todo bien, el problema es cuando creo una maquina virtual y quiero prenderla. Se me bloquea la maquina ESXi5, y ahi se me desconecta el client 5. Todo esto lo tengo instalado en una pc con windows 10. Le agradezco si alguien me puede ayudar.

VCSA Syslog Reporting Levels

From https://docs.vmware.com/en/VMware-vSphere/6.5/vsphere-esxi-vcenter-server-65-appliance-configuration-guide.pdf we get the following, concerning the syslog level that is sent by VCSA to an external Syslog server.

 

With the current "*" setting, we are getting far more messages than we want, and we would only really like VCSA to send Syslog messages at level "error" and above. My reading of the configuration guide suggests that setting the level to "error" won't do this. It will quite literally only allow Syslog messages at error level to be sent. This seems wrong to me, so I firstly wanted to confirm what actually happens. Will VCSA send only error syslog messages, or will it send "crit", "alert" and "emerg" ones too?

 

 

3 From the Common Log Level drop-down menu select the log files to redirect.

OptionDescription
*All log files are redirected to the remote machine.
infoOnly informational log files are redirected to the remote machine.
noticeOnly notices are redirected to the remote machine. Notice indicates normal but significant condition.
warnOnly warnings are redirected to the remote machine.
errorOnly error messages are redirected to the remote machine.
critOnly critical log files are redirected to the remote machine.
alertOnly alerts are redirected to the remote machine. Alert indicates that action must be taken immediately.
emergOnly emergency log files are redirected to the remote machine. Emergency indicates that the system stopped responding and cannot be used.

 

 

If my interpretation is correct, is there a way to get VCSA to send the multiple levels required I.e. to send all "error", "crit", "alert" and "emerg" syslog messages?

[vRA 7.4] - Bulk import failed : retrieving blueprint and component information

Hi,

We migrate our VMs from a 7.3 environment to a new 7.4 environment.

We encounter this error :

 

Error occurred while retrieving blueprint and component information. Message: 'One or more errors occurred.'

 

 

We have try to :

 

- Recreate a New IaaS blueprint.

- IaaS BP are present in the BG entitlement

- We have exported the virtual machines with the option "

- We have modified the CSV file like this :

 

 

 

Has anyone come across this problem before ?

Internet Explorer crashing due to faulting module vmwsci.dll

I had a few reports of IE crashing for some users. I've found this appears to be happening for a lot of VM's. The logs show the following error:
Faulting application name: IEXPLORE.EXE, version: 11.0.15063.850, time stamp: 0x3173cb3d

Faulting module name: vmwsci.dll, version: 7.2.0.21950, time stamp: 0x5910b368


The faulting module (vmwsci.dll) appears it has to do with the View Agent PCoIP Smart Card Interception. Is that the same thing as the Smarcard Redirection feature? We don't even select this for our View Agent installs.  It's happening on various versions of view agent (7.0.3, 7.2).  It does appear these errors started to occur right after the July Windows and Office updates.

NAT not working in Fusion 10.1.1 for Windows 10 after MAC OS update 10.13.2

After performing the update last night from Apple, my network on my Windows 10 no longer works. When I attempt to ping, I get "PING: transmit failed. General failure." The network adapter shows as Unidentified Network for the Intel 82574L Gigabit adapter. I have attempt to reset it, disable it, and repair it, but still have the issue. Rebooted as well.

 

Any ideas?

 

Edit - Bridged Autodetect works. It seems to be isolated to NAT.

VMWare Workstation 14.1.2 build-8497320, locks up

VMWare Workstation 14.1.2 build-8497320, locks up "non-responsive"; "waiting on IO" so says vmware.exe service. Workstation window becomes faded (2 "vmware.DMP" files available).  Host Can't Kill the app or the service, SO Only solution is complete Host CPU Poweroff then Restart.  And often the VM Guests  are damaged "beyond repair"  So Win 10 Pro kills all apps, keeps user data and installs a very fresh copy (like out of the box) of Win 10 WITHOUT any settings for local environment.  UGLY and Time Consuming.

 

Happens when switching to another Workstation VM tab, even when only one vm is powered on, others in shutdown mode. The powered on VM is damaged, as are all powered on VMs. See above.

 

Same VMs running GREAT on 3 active instances of VMPlayer.  Easy to switch between VMs (and host)

 

Dell Precision Tower 5820,  Intel Xenon W-2125, 64GB,  MR9440-8i SCSI Disk Device  Raid 5, Windows 10 Pro for Workstations 1803 17134.165  All Dell drivers and bios are current. All Dell's system tests pass.

 

I've been a workstation user since version 6 days.  First time I've run into non-responsive lockups that require host poweroff.

 

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

just installed a vSAN 6.7 Cluster with four hosts and some Horizon View Components on it: Connection Server 7.5, Composer 7.5 with external MS SQL 2017 DB and some more.

 

Problem:

Linked Clone Pools are not succesfully provisioned

No internet access in Windows connection

I'm running Windows 7 in VMWare Fusion 7.1.3 on a Macbook OS 10.13.4. I've been running Fusion for years. Right now the network connection is not working when I'm in my office. In Windows I get a 169.xx.xx.xx IP address and "no internet connection" when in bridged connection. NAT does not give me an IP address at all. If I use on my home network or tether to my phone it works.

 

So seems to be a problem with my work network when in the office, but other people here are running Parallels in bridged mode and it is working fine, suggesting it can be done (different product I know). I've done some troubleshooting from KBases on the internet but given it seems to be the work network in particular what should I check for?

ESXi6.7でのesxtopにおいて、物理NICでのパケット受信処理の負荷はどこに計上される？

こんにちは．よろしくお願いいたします．

 

当方、ESXiホストが物理NICで受信したパケットを仮想マシンに届けるまでの

処理負荷の大きさをモニタリングしています

 

ESXi6.5では該処理の負荷はesxtopで仮想マシンのvmxワールドの

%SYSに計上されているようなのですが、6.7にバージョンアップすると

パケットを受信しても該値が増えてなくなっていました。

 

6.7でパケット受信の処理負荷がどこでどのように見えるかご存知の方

いらっしゃいましたら教えていただけけないでしょうか？

解説されているサイトなどの情報でも結構です。

Windows 7 64 Bit_P2V Conversion_Error at 96%

Hi,

I am trying to convert a Win 7 physical machine to a virtual machine using VMware vCentre Converter Standalone. The process fails at 96% with an error message "FAILED: Unable to find system volume. Reconfiguration is not possible".

 

The original physical machine has four partitions namely System Reserved, C:, D: and Recovery. System Reserved is marked as Active and I presume this partition contains the boot configuration data required to boot up the machine after virtualization (please correct me if I am wrong).

 

I have tried the solution offered at the following website but unfortunately i can't get it to work.

P2V conversion of a Windows 2008 R2 machine fails at 96% in VMware vCenter Converter Standalone (2008012) | VMware KB

 

And I don't understand the solution mentioned in this link:

FAILED: Unable to find the system volume, reconfiguration is not possible.

 

I though I could repair the converted virtual machine (with 96%) using windows installation disc but i can't get my external USB DVD ROM to be read by the virtual machine during boot up. I cannot boot the machine from this DVD ROM because it is not recognized in the list of devices in BIOS settings. I am using Workstation 14. So that's another problem that I am facing.

 

If someone could please advise on what steps I could take to resolve this, it would be much appreciated. Thank you!

メンテナンスモード後のホスト障害対応について

vSphere HAが有効な環境でメンテナンスモード後にESXi1台で障害が発生して起動不可となった場合、

対象ESXi上の仮想マシンを別ESXiで起動させるにはどうすると良いでしょうか。

例えばデータストアから対象の仮想マシンを別名で登録するといった方法になりますでしょうか。

 

またこのとき、vCenter Serverが起動できていた場合、起動できていない場合で対処方法はかわりますでしょうか。

 

以下の設定になっている環境とします

・vSphere 6.x

・vSphere HAは有効

・アドミッションコントロールは無効

 

以下の処理は正常に出来ているとします

・仮想マシンは全て停止

・ホストは全てメンテナンスモード(※仮想マシンの移動はなし)

・ホストを全てシャットダウン

 

 

添付図のように"esx-02"は起動できず、"esxi-03"は起動できた状態で、

"切断状態"となっている仮想マシンを起動させたいような状況です。

How to replace web client certificate on vCenter 6.0 with trusted

Hi,

 

Wanting to know how I use a trusted certificate so we no longer receive the certificate warning when going to the vSphere Web client page. have looked around but there doesn't seem to be a straight forward answer. My knowledge around certs aren't great.
