I was running Fusion without a problem for a long time (version 8.5 under El Capitan on an iMac 5K). Then I tried to open it and it told me it could not open a file, Boot Camp.vmdk. I did some research on how to fix this and ended up deleting and rebuilding the Virtual Machine. As it was going through the set up, I got a message that it could not pre-process Boot Camp, or something like that. Windows sitll opened, but now runs so slowly that it is unusable. I tried downloading Parallels Desktop and got the same result, so this may not be a problem with Fusion as much as Boot Camp. Although when I boot directly into the Windows partition, everything runs just fine. Any ideas?
